There are additional features, including port numbers and passive mode file transfers that allow users to perform batch downloads from the internet. The software also includes a favorites list, similar to that of Internet Explorer, and has background transfers, timeout features, and the ability to delete to the Recycle Bin. Managing downloads is made easy with the option to schedule them for later, perform recursive downloads, uploads, and deletes, as well as being prompted for file overwrites and preserving file date and time. But what really sets this software apart is its ability to split files into chunks and download them simultaneously, drastically speeding up download times. It also has an easy drag and drop function and many other helpful tools. One of the standout features for me was the ability to transfer entire directories with just one click. The software also boasts Firewall/Proxy support, allowing for a secure and efficient transfer of files. With just a single click, I was able to update my website and resume any interrupted downloads or uploads. I recently tried out the FTP and download manager software and was thoroughly impressed.
